WHY FLAXSEED?
Flaxseed has a much higher oil content compared to rice, corn and other fillings. This allows the Owie Bag to retain and release moist heat for a long period of time. There is also no odor associated with flaxseed, so no "cooked food" smell when microwaving. My personal favorite reason why I love using flaxseed is simply the way it feels. The seeds are small, flat and smooth, which makes the Owie Bags completely flexible and comfortable, not hard and pokey like rice and other fillings can be.

SAFETY AND CARE:
* Owie Bags are not meant to be a substitute for medical care/treatment.
* Supervise Owie Bags while in the microwave, and check frequently. Do not overheat.
* Take care when giving heated Owie Bags to children.
* Do not allow Owie Bag to get wet (or else you'll have flax sprouts!)
* Spot clean with a damp cloth only.
* When storing in the freezer, keep Owie Bag in a plastic baggie to prevent absorption of odors.
