This 1940s style secretary dress is silky and body-conscious yet also a little demure. Thick ties at the neck for a very stylish bow! Color is hard to described (and notice how the different light affects it)--definitely a purple base but also sort of lilac/mauve/pink. 1940s style but made in the 1970s.

Pull-over style with functional bodice buttons and matching belt. Elastic at cuffs is stretched. Tag: "A Pedestal Original."

For comparison, shown on modern size 8 dress form. Suggest a modern M to L (a bit of stretch to the fabric). Measurements taken while laying flat then doubled for the following:
Bust: 40 in.
Waist: 36 in.
Hips: 60 in. plus (doesn't account for all of the pleating).

Length from back of neck to waist: 17 in.
Length from waist to bottom hem: 29 in.


Great vintage condition with no obvious flaws, tears, stains or smells.
