1940s SWING DRESS in Yellow and Gold Windowpane Plaid

Description

So cute! 1940s handmade SWING DRESS (could possibly be from a later era but no later than the 60s according to source). Details include: cuffed sleeves, small chest pockets, a notched collar.

Pull-over with zipper up the side and functional bodice buttons. Waist line is a bit high but not quite an empire (see measurements below). Not a stretchy fabric--rayon garbardine.

For comparison, shown on modern size 8 dress form. Suggest a modern M to L (again, not a stretchy fabric). Measurements taken while laying flat then doubled for the following:
Bust: 42 in.
Waist: 35 in.
Hips: 46 in.

Shoulder to shoulder measures 17 in.
Length from waist to bottom hem: 25 in.


Great vintage condition with no obvious flaws, tears or stains. Very little wear.
