Orchid Pot with Dish Set (Turquoise)
Description
I've made a number of these for my own home and as gifts for friends so why not put some of them in my shop. ;) This set is wheel thrown with a white stoneware clay. I do a two tone glaze, clear on the inside of the pot and turquoise on the outside. For the dish, clear on the outside and turquoise on the inside. This way, the rims are accentuated with white and the most exposed parts are in the vibrant glaze. The glaze is a combination of 3 of my studio glazes that worked great together. This unique affect will not be reproduced so rest assured that what you have is unique. The foot ring has a few notches so that water can drain out to evaporate on the dish.Measurements:
Pot - 5" diameter, 4.25" tall
Dish - 5.25" diameter, .75" tall
