This classic single band Mother's Ring is sure to make you the apple of Mom's eye! This tutorial is rated as an ADVANCED project, but students with more advanced intermediate skills might be ready for this challenge, too.

MATERIALS:
Materials make this exact size 8 ½ ring. Wire lengths can be used up to a size 10. Larger sizes should add two inches to each measurement for every 4 sizes. You may need more or less stones and beads. Substitutions are possible - The tutorial contains a FULL SECTION on this topic!

13in. (33cm) 24g sterling silver wire (half hard OR hard )
23in. (59cm) 26g sterling silver wire (dead soft OR half hard)
20in. (51cm) 20g ½ rnd sterling silver wire.
5ft. (153cm) 30g OR 28g silver wire (dead soft)
2 (two) 2mm sterling silver round beads with large holes (.09”)
10 3mm sterling silver saucer spacer beads with large holes (1.5mm)
7 3mm crystal bicones in the colors of your choice

TOOLS:
Chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers
Flush cutters
Awl or sharp darning needle
Ring mandrel
Ruler with metric markings
Craft or pen knife
Permanent marker
26g mandrel ( 'G' steel string from guitar)

OPTIONAL:
Wire Gauge
Rawhide or nylon hammer
