Phal equestris var alba - Blooming Size Orchid
Description
Phal equestris var. albaEquestris is a great little species. The plants are compact but produce masses of half inch flowers on branching spikes. Flowers are white for the alba variety listed here, and pink and white for the typical variety (there's one in spike listed here in the store if you prefer pink). They have a tendancy to produce keikis (plantlets on the inflorescence), which means it is likely to multiply itself for you. Its also an easy to grow species. A great choice all around for a small windowsill.
You will get the plant listed which is not currently in bloom. These usually bloom late summer/early fall for me, and this one has already done its duty this year with two spikes as a first bloom seedling. It can be repotted now or in the spring, whichever you prefer. It is currently in a 4" pot of bark.
