Gourd Topped Casserole

Description

These casseroles are a take-off -- a smaller version of my "Harvest Jar" http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=30381581 and I like the way they came out.

They are detail layered on detail. The gourds are small details with even further detail in the tightly painted wax-resist patterns on those gourds.

Then those tightly decorated gourds rest on a basket weave pattern that I carved into the top.

These then sit atop a pumpkin base with vine-like handles -- an ovenware, microwavable, food safe 2 quart casserole.

And when you're not using it to serve your favorite casserole or soup, it makes a fine looking statement as a centerpiece or on a sideboard.....or even a nice cookie jar on your countertop. I don't believe in limiting function!

As with all my pottery, the shipping is included in the listed price.
