Recycled wool sweater messenger bag -- grey, blue, embellished

Oh, but this is a great bag. I've been using recycled sweaters for almost 10 years. For the longest time, I cut the sweaters into 3-inch squares and patchworked them into tote bags and back packs. But, I've grown weary of the tote bag and have decided to retire the design.

This messenger bag is my new creation for the recycled sweaters. The flap is a pale heather grey with embroidery embellishment in blue, ivory, burgundy, and purple. The front of the bag is plum and the back is charcoal grey. The sides are grey embroidered with darker grey. Tons of texture on this bag. All the panels come from recycled wool sweaters.

The lining and the strap are made from a plum and white houndstooth woven wool blend fabric. One inside pocket. Magnetic snap closure on the flap.

The bag measures 10 inches wide and 9 inches deep. The side panels are 2 1/2 inches wide. Plenty big for your wallet, cell phone, keys, etc.

The strap is adjustable from 50" to 53" by means of a button and 2 sewn buttonholes. I'm 5'3" and the shorter length is just right for me. The final photo shows the button securing the strap. I have a picture of a different messenger bag on my model/friend, Lisa, so you can see where it falls on the body. Lisa is 5'7". Lucky her...

The bag is hand washable -- lay flat to dry. Super cute. Super unique. Like all my recycled creations, this one is one-of-a-kind and can't be duplicated. Ever.
