Distressed Artists Bear Vintage Style

Description

Made in the tradition of vintage Teddy Bears from the early 1900s, Measuring 17", he has elongated paws and a humped back.
He is made from faux fur, which I've trimmed, then stained with a mixture of coffee and cinnamon, to give him that great time worn look. His pads are made from vintage wool.
I've used hardboard disk and cotter pin construction, to joint his arms, legs and head with.
He is weighted with clean saw dust. a mix of plastic pellets, wood excelsior and a small amount of polyfil were used for his body.
I've sunken two black beads for his eyes, and have used cotton floss to stitch his nose with.
Around his neck, I've tied a piece of stained cheesecloth.
He would make a great addition to your Teddy Bear or Prim collection, and could be set out year round.
He'd look wonderful mixed in with Christmas decor too!
