Four Humors Screenprint - Melancholic

Description

Part of a series of screenprints based on the four humors.

Each season, I design a poster based on one of the four humors (phlegmatic, sanguine (no longer available), melancholy, and choleric), along with a corresponding root vegetable.

Melancholic is autumn - cold and dry, representative of the earth and thought of as a guardian. The root vegetable is the sweet potato, with its trailing vine of 70's-inspired brown and orange leaves.

Technical stuff:

2-color print on 100% rag acid-free paper. Limited edition of 17. Please specify which number you would like, otherwise I will send at random.

Printed area measures 10" x 13", paper size is 15" x 22" with plenty of room for matting and framing.
