This is a lovely group of hand pressed and hand finished Czech art glass buttons. 4 Classic designs with amazing detail and texture in mixed finishes! These measure 1 1/16 inch or 24 to 26mm with metal shanks.

Although some of my buttons may look vintage or antique they are all newly made and have no damage or wear.

All my Czech glass buttons come directly from the factory where they are made to order for me. They have not been previously handled or out for sale. This is a new generation of very high quality handmade glass buttons. I have seen many of the same buttons I import being sold on etsy & ebay and artfire as old or vintage. This simply is not possible...The technology used to create some of these fancy & modern finishes simply did not exist in the 20's, 30's 40's or 50's. The hand pressing techniques however, have not changed in over 200 years. Each button is pressed in what looks like a long-handled pair of pliers. The ends of the pliers hold the design molds. Each shank has to be added at just the right moment while the glass is still very hot. Glass shank buttons are pressed slightly differently. After they cool in a special oven, the edge of each button is finished by hand; meaning each is ground smooth on a diamond wheel. After that they are either decorated (painted) by hand or finishes are fired on the front, back or both. They are new and free from damage or wear, I am very picky about quality control.
