Big Bakelite and Celluloid Cocktail Ring
Description
A glossy, perforated celluloid dome is set atop a cherry red Bakelite base. Both spent the first half of their lives as buttons in the 1940s.This ring is big and bold but still totally wearable - it measures just under 1" (2.4 cm) across and puffs to a height of about .5" (1.2 cm).
The adjustable band is silver plated and more substantial than those used the majority of rings I make, since a ring of this heft deserves a sturdier ring. It feels like a standard ring with the added bonus of being able to customize it to a snug fit.
