The charm is roughly the size of a quarter, about 1 and a fourth inches tall. It is completely handmade out of polymer clay and painted with acrylics, then coated in a shiny, protective sealant. The little star on the bag is carved, as well as painted, for added depth. And of course, there are tiny jingle bells inside the bag, and a small slit cut out of the back, so when you shake the charm, it really rings! The necklace is closed with a round spring clasp.
