This emery pincushion is for the seamstress that enjoys her cup of coffee or hot chocolate. The cup is personalized with her very own monogram!

Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the classic tomato? Do you know the purpose of the strawberry? It's an emery pincushion. Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It’s filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It’s used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

We can all purchase the tiny strawberry, but wouldn’t you like a larger emery pincushion? A huge emery pincushion? I hope so because here it is!

This felt cup measures approximately 3 inches (7.62 cm) across at the mouth and 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) high.

It’s full of emery. I didn’t add any fiberfill or any other type of filler. It’s pure emery, tightly packed to keep those pins and needles sharp. You can stick your pins in the side of the cup as well as in the top. As with all of my pincushions, no glue is used. Your pins will receive the most benefit due to its construction.

The emery is enclosed in its own little casing inside the felt to be sure that no emery escapes through pinholes.

I love this pincushion! It’s very heavy so it won't slide around your work surface, it holds your pins and needles, they're sharpened with every jab, and it's cute. It's even personalized. What more could you want from a pincushion?

The letter is hand embroidered with black thread. The flower is blue with green leaves. The patterns for the letters are taken from a vintage embroidery pattern

If so, let me know that too in your message to seller. I'll embroider the letter on the opposite side of the cup for you.
