Vintage Venetian millefiori glass beads perfect for Halloween!
These vintage beads were each handmade in Italy and no two are alike! They have a somewhat 'primitive' look to them which always intrigued me.

Please note: These beads DO have a smooth surface with a lovely sheen - the tiny 'holes' that you see are because I take SUCH close up photographs but are NOT visible when you look at the beads in your hand.

These beads are a "burnt orange" color with what looks like eyeballs on them! I've always thought they were perfect for Halloween which is why I decided to list them now.
I only have a small number of these beads left.

'Millifiori' literally means “thousand flowers”. To make such beads, thin rods of different colors of glass are bundled together, with the ends of the rods forming a design, such as flowers. The bundle is fused together, then cross section slices are cut off, jelly-roll fashion. These slices are applied and melted over a glass core. The resulting bead has a three dimensional look filled with flowers or other patterns.

These beads are approximately 8mm - 8.5mm and price is for 6 of these fabulous beads which we 100% guarantee to be vintage Italian venetian millefiori glass.
I'll be listing some other beads like this that we found while unpacking a huge box in our studio.

I sold many types of millifiori glass beads through the trunk shows at Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue during the 1980's.
You'll never see beads like this nowadays at your neighborhood "gem show"!
