IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS CHAIN:
*TARNISHING: All plated chain from ANY manufacturer will eventually tarnish over time. Tarnishing will be quickened by exposure to air, water, and prolonged contact with skin/sweat. As far as I can tell, my chain is no better or worse in regards to length of time before tarnish than any other chain on the market. In my experience, I have never seen a tarnishing issue with the antiqued brass, antiqued copper, or gunmetal colors. Tarnishing with my silver plated chain has only been minimal, and only appears after much much time left exposed to the elements. Also, as the base is steel, which is a darker silver in color, tarnishing with the silver plated chain is not easily noticed. The most apparent case of tarnishing is with gold plated chain. I have noticed this not only with my chain, but with other gold plated jewelry I have bought in my personal life. Over a course of perhaps 4-6 weeks of heavy wear, gold plated chain will develop a noticeable tarnish. This is something you as a jeweler should be aware of, and something you should make your customers aware of as well to avoid confusion over the chain's quality down the road. Gold plated chain, in my humble opinion, should only be used for costume jewelry - you do not want to use this metal if you are planning on making an heirloom piece to last through time, because the color simply will not stand up to it.
I hope that helps you all! Happy creating!!
