40s Cropped Bell Sleeve Pony Fur Coat SM MED

I generally don't carry furs but this one was from a family member and while I don't wear furs myself, I think it is absolutely stunning and it doesn't do anyone any good sitting in the closet. I believe this to be pony. Ultra sheen pony fur has natural moire markings, a sign of higher grade fur. Dramatic cropped 40's/very early 50s boxy cut coat has a shawl style collar. Pleating in the front begins at the front shoulders and falls into long, draped vertical pockets. Wide cuffed bells sleeves and a black satin lining that is fully intact. Closes with two hooks. The previous owners initials are stitched inside the coat: DGD

The coat is in superb condition and was probably only worn a handful of times as it shows almost no signs of wear. There is VERY mild balding at the shoulders which is probably from hanging for so long. But again, this is minimal and does not take away from the beauty of the coat. It is very rare to find a coat this old in such fabulous shape. It is black, shiny, and vibrant. There is no odor, staining, or tears. Very elegant.
