This handmade lampwork bead was created on my brand new purple Cricket torch! Woot!
With this bead, I set out to create a feminine feel, an organic feel. A very subtle eroticism. I started with a base of transparent green effetre glass and added rings of silvered ivory stringer. The silver-impregnated glass creates fabulous, random reactions in the flame. Silvered ivory creates a very organic, stone-like feel. The entire bead has been softly etched and reminds me of a perfect marriage between sea glass and beach pebbles.
She was made on a 3/32" mandrel and measures:
3/4" tall x 5/8" wide (19mm x 10mm)
*** All of my beads have been properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln for durability.
