Description

This table mat is part of the new Mentha (mint) series of textile art offerings. It has been hand coiled in perky red and white patterns that mimic the look of peppermint candy canes.

It measures 8 inches round, in diameter.

These trivets make lovely additions to a gift basket. Or, tie them up with a bow as a thoughtful hostess gift. They are generous enough to accommodate even a large dish and look lovely even when they are not doing table duty.

My baskets, trivets and coasters are made by the coiling method of basketry. Strips of fabric (both new and recycled) are wrapped around an inner cording as the shape is formed. The inner cording makes these sturdier than other fabric, felted or crocheted items.
They are lovingly handmade with no machine stitching.
Each one is unique.
