Here is a bead I've wanted to create for some time - a Queen Bee! I'm sure you know someone who is a queen bee or perhaps you are one yourself!

This sweet little focal bead is set against a ruby red background with tapestry scrollwork in rich Terra glass both front and back and the little bee has a petite crown for added charm. This special focal bead would be a darling pendant or look great in a dramatic necklace! She would also go perfectly with my Red Victorian tapestry bead sets for a more elaborate jewelry design!

Each bead is handcrafted with Italian glass and wound on a 1/16" mandrel. The decorative scrollwork is made from thin glass "stringer" and is melted directly into the bead. All of my beads are annealed straight from the torch in a digitally - controlled kiln for lasting durability. While I do my best to capture the true color of my beads, color may vary slightly depending on your monitor.
