PERFECT FOR SUMMER Wooden Armoury Slingshot hand carved from forest deadfall branches ORGANIC TOY

Eliza, my woods-loving, tree climbing adventuresome teen has been making weapons, swords, daggers, letter openers, cheese knives, and now these lovely organic slingshots-
these are perfect for birthdays for all kids,(and dads) can be used with crunched up junk mail for indoor battles for great rainy day fun!

She harvest deadfallen rhododendron which has lovely branches perfect for the solid y shape, and she carves and whittles and sands til these are absolutely perfectly smooth
She carves out the groove for the rubber bands and makes an all upcycled leather pouch from which the chosen object is propelled. If you need a vegan one, she has access to pleather, faux leather, and upcycled denim and canvas.

These organic slingshots take her hours of concentration and meditation and she pours herself into these- so they are not the regular sort of basement jigsaw sort of slingshot. These are crafted in Appalachia often out by the river at a little spot we named Big Rock.

Anyway- you get the idea- they are all a little different with details, wood grain, decorative carving, and different colored leather pouches and rubber straps so convo me to see the current selection. The only common thread is that they are solid, smooth, a lot of fun, and are well loved and rubbed by everyone in the community while they are created- we all have to feel how smooth they are- every few minutes :-)

If she sells lots I think she will be convinced to start her own shop but she is struggling with dyslexia and is terrified of having to convo.... but I think she will give in shortly, so I will only be carrying these in my shop for a short time...

She can make custom weapons and sculptures from any hardwoods in our forest, walnut, oak, maple, apple, etc...
so if you have another project in mind, she has done custom orders and I guarantee my personal reputation and perfect feedback that she is meticulous :-)
