TUTORIAL- Caged Herringbone Weaved Bead, with FREE Two Tone Herringbone Weave Ring Tutorial

Description

Herringbone weave is one of my favorite weaving techniques. I use it a lot in my wire wrap jewelry creations. A free tutorial for the basic herringbone weave is available at www.enioken.com. Once you have learned this basic weave, there are other variations that you may come up with.

This tutorial teaches you one of these variations – a caged bead with a slightly modified herringbone weave technique. When done you may use this bead as part of your bracelets, necklaces, anklets, etc.

Materials:
* 5 cm (2 in) 20ga wire (there will be a bit of left over wire, about ½ in. when done)

* 45 cm (18 in) 24ga wire (there will be left over wire of about 4 in. when done. I put in the extra wire to ensure you don’t run out of wire halfway)

* 1 round bead/stone, 8mm

Tools:
* Bend-nose pliers
* Round-nose pliers
* Wire cutters
