I take custom orders for any country or state you wish. Over 100 Map on a Stick paintings have been commissioned through Etsy. Send me an Etsy Conversation and I'll paint your state/country of choice onto a stick! Almost all U.S. cities are also available. Don't want the stick? No problem. You can request that your painting have no stick.

Size options are 8x10", 16x20", 18x24".
8x10" (0.75" thick) is $25. Shipping within the continental 48 states is $6.
16x20" (1.5" thick) is $60. Shipping within the continental 48 states is $15.
18x24" (1.5" thick) is $100. Shipping within the continental 48 states is $15.

I can paint the state/country/city in one of the following colors: light blue, light green, cream, light yellow, gray, pink, or white. Light blue is the flagship color of the series. The background is always a brown texture. If you would like a different color background, then the prices mentioned above are doubled.

This painting comes on a double primed canvas with acid-free acrylic sizing. There are no staples on the side and is 0.75" thick. It is painted on the sides and comes with a wire hanger installed so it is ready to hang on your wall.

This is an original painting signed on the back by the artist.

+++ ARTIST STATEMENT +++
There's a duality of represented realities in this series. The first such representational interpretation is that of maps. A single line deviates from the area of land illustrated by the respective form. Such a line implies a border line, road or any number of symbolic attributes associated with maps.

This series is painted in a manner suggesting antique surfaces. Such embellishments lends a sense of history to the series evoking notions of time's past assumptive sense of reality defined by inaccurate measuring resulting in fallacious definitions thus giving the oddly singular, yet curiously charming, line a further sense of invalidity.

The second reality is clearly defined by the title of each piece. "'Region' on a Stick No. 'X'" perpetuates beyond the representational notions of a map by suggesting that the represented region is a physical object unto itself. Ironically enough, the duality of representation comes full circle for the suggested physical object is still a representation of such due to its physically painted nature.
