lace slouch hat, wine

this hat has a kinda funny story behind it.

see, about a few months ago, i was bored and thought "hey i want one of those lacey crochet tams all the hipsters are wearing these days", so i go online, get a pattern, and make one for myself in some ridiculous amount of time. only, it looks nothing link the picture online, the number of pattern repeats is WAY off, and it has MUCH better drape than i expected.so of course i think "hold on, i gotta try this again!" and thus, we have the mary tam, cause nobody needs two nearly identical hats. and i kept making them. lots of them.

i crocheted this lovely using a vintage/hand me down acrylic yarn. its a pretty good size, should fit anyone with a medium/largeish head, and could probably hold a nice little bundle of dreads.
