The wood that this pen is turned from is Padauk. It is a wood used for the finest furniture. The color of this wood is an orange-brown. There is a fine grain pattern in this particular piece. The hardware components on this pen are 24K Gold-plate. The pen has been polished to a fine furniture finish.

The pen uses a CROSS-style refill easily found in all office stores and stationary departments. The pen tip advances and retracts by twisting the barrel cap.

No two of my pens are ever the same. Even when the same wood and fittings are used, each piece of wood has a distinct grain pattern and each pen comes off the lathe shaped like no other. You are getting a truly unique pen.

The pen comes with a gift box and small booklet about the wood used and the care of the pen including refill instructions.
