Silk, waldorf silk play, 18 inch squares, hand dyed hand painted with ecological colors, 9 pieces, rainbow pastel colors colors- for Waldorf education, art therapy, children play, home decoration, sewing and more
I paint this wonderful silk with ecological colors [without heavy metals].
The ecological colors are keeping the silk soft and gentle in compare to chemicals dyes.
I prepare the colors myself mixing the primary colors so every time I hand paint the silk I have nice surprises of beautiful new colors.
The ends/edges are without seams.
What we call a silkplay is a wonderful play for children.
At waldorf education you can see that the children can do almost anything with it: with the big pieces they build houses by hanging this silkplay from playstands, tables or chairs, they also use this silkplay as a landscape or creating a sack for their wood blocks or their dolls.
With the little pieces they cover their dolls and animals, creating for them a place to sleep and more.
The little pieces are also great for Waldorf marionettes and doll's clothes and the big pieces are proper for costume as: fairy, princess, prince, flower children and more.
The teacher can arrange the nature table with this silkplay choosing the proper color for every season and teaching the children the color circle by play.
The child imagination's is challenged and stimulated by play clothes [which can be cotton, flannel and other cloths made of natural materials].
