"Inu hariko" is a Japanese traditional toy for children since old time. It is shaped a dog, has badger and cat spirits (so it also looks like a cat).
In Japan, a dog is believed as being feared by evils. "Inu hariko" also has a meaning of protecting children or babies like a guardian. Nowadays, it is also used as a good luck charm.
These will make a special gift for baby shower, make your own baby clothes, or small projects like a pouch or purse, there are many ways to enjoy them.
