Silk Sari Ribbon Oh so Pink Chic

Pink is all you need to say here. I finally found it and it's very very Chic for just about anything you could create. It's the textured fiber that catches the eye. It looks old and vintage with some amounts soft sherbert color mixes. This Silk ribbon fiber changes from lot to lot, not one single skein of 50g is the same. Each skein is it's own beautiful individuality of colors. I'm sharing this with you and I don't know if I can do this again.

Something to make your Project truly unique and special. This ribbon yarn is made from hand cut strips of silk fabric sari's and sewn end to end. Perfect for freeform knitting and crochet, weaving, embellishing, embroidery, quilting techniques, mixed media collage, and virtually any edgy project. The Fabrics found in this yarn are generally silks with occasional metal threads.

The yardage is approximately 25 yards (50 grams) and 10-20mm wide. Where did this come from? I was once married to mr Ali past tense, lol, and he purchased beautiful sari's for me when we were over in Pakistan and India. I no longer wanted to wear the sari's and I have started cutting them and making things. I own a huge frame with blades and one person stands on one side and passes through to me the other side, and I pull, therefore cutting the sari into many strips at one time. I sew the pieces one by one together.

What am I doing with this?,,,well, I'm going to make beautiful clay pins with this in back drop, I'm going to do my purses with this, and embelish with it. I'm going to make some pendant necklaces too! I'm thinking I could also wrap this around straws and make beads, oh my the things to do with this and make it vintage!
