Delicious, soft, jewel colored Merino roving or top for spinning 8 oz. Please let me know if you need more and I shall be happy to list it for you.

This hand blended roving contains stunning jewel tones that were inspired by vintage port and the famed and contentious rubies of the Nizam of Hyderabad. 'Next to the skin soft'.

Pictured with the roving is a 2 ply dk/worsted weight yarn that I spun from it.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a 20% discount for the purchase of 2 lbs or more of roving and 10% discount for the purchase of over 1 lb. Please let me know if you need more so that I can apply the discount or refund you at check out.

This roving has been designed by me. Colors are not repeatable, so please purchase what you need while I have them in stock.

Content: 100% supersoft Merino wool.
Hand wash gently in cold water. Do not agitate (or it will felt). Lay flat to dry.

Suggestions for quantities:
1. 4 oz = a long scarf OR a par of socks OR a hat & fingerless mitts.
2. 8 oz = hat, scarf & fingerless mitts.
3. 1 lb (10% discount) = small, sleeveless vest.
4. 2 lbs (20% discount) = a full sleeved sweater.

Plying & its effects on the final knitted garment:
-Single ply will be 'stripey' and may lead to 'pooling' in the final garment.
-Double plies (as pictured in yarn) are best for a well distributed 'tweed' effect and will greatly reduce or even eliminate 'pooling' especially when the fiber is pre-drafted before spinning.
-3 plies will almost always eliminate 'striping' and 'pooling' & are best for a “heathered tweed” or non pooling effect. 3 plying will also create a very sturdy yarn for long wearing garments.
