Cobalt blue -- true cobalt blue, where when held up to the light you see a bit of electric purple in it -- is my most favorite of all colors. It's also a shame that the camera did not faithfully represent the deep purple in with the gorgeous blue of these beads.

Held aloft by Tierra Cast saddle bead caps, as well as little faceted cobalt barrel beads and little 4mm Tierra Cast bead caps, these table-cut beads are of a spectacular color -- especially when the light hits them. They are finished at each end with little, round silver beads -- the lower one is attached to the fancy Bali style headpins and hang on sterling silver elongated kidney ear wires.

Let me tell you a little something about Tierra Cast (TC). Tierra Cast is a U.S. made, lead-free pewter that also passes as culinary grade. It is the highest grade of pewter possible, and I'm coming to prefer it over sterling bead caps. The reasons why is that TC is even more durable and tarnish-resistant than sterling silver, and stay bright for a long time. These bead caps are pure quality.
