1922 My Knight in Shining Armour, 'Le Miroir des Modes', Paris Fashion Magazine Cover Lithograph

From Butterick's Paris Division ~ 'Le Miroir des Modes'

A very Art Nouveau cover from their June, 1922 fashion pattern magazine, featuring a young daydreaming girl and her imagined knight in shining armour.

The over-size page measures a grand 11" x 14" (28 x 35.6 cm). The cover illustration is sadly unsigned ~ wonderfully bright & vibrant, 85+ years later. The cover image measures 7.5" x 9.25" (19 x 23.5 cm).

The paper shows virtually none of the expected edge pings or bumps for a paper of this age ~ the paper is deliciously bright, clear & clean, without folds, marks, creases or tears. Some light tanning can be seen along the page-turning edge & matting or framing will easily see to this.

The inside cover is a feature on the newest spring-into-summer fashions in lighter fabrics ~ 'With warmer weather returning, fabrics are lighter'.

All pattern numbers are here for your reference as well, all from Butterick France & I'm sure that, with a quick search, you may find patterns online ~ this is a wonderful Roaring-Twenties Flapper-style pattern-shopping time machine.

Either page side would be a fantastic subject for framing ~ for your sewing studio or dressing room, your bath or bedroom. And the page is perfect for your vintage-inspired card & jewelry making, collage, mixed media, altered art.
