Years ago when I used to design junior sportswear, I always wanted to make a shirt with a heart on the sleeve. My idea never went well with my bosses, but the idea stays with me still. I like to think I wear my heart on my sleeve. Even to my detriment, I will say what I love out loud, without hesitation or apology. I love our Almighty God, hip hop and Elvis, I love my kids and my husband, I LOVE my mom and dad, and brother & sister, too. I love the New York Times on any given Sunday, I love coffee and chocolate even though they don't love me back, I love Kahlil Gibran, Bono, Bruce and Mother Teresa for preaching their love; I love fairy tales and stories of impossible love, I love wandering and wondering, I love India and Italy and Indonesia, I love Indie films and Integrative Nutrition, I love my freedom and my freedom to dream, I love Oprah and alternative medicine, I love my friends from Queens and my friends from Tarpon, I love people who love unashamed like me; Some call it corny...I call it lucky.
