Description

Vintage Japanese glass beads that are a beautiful clear amber color. I have other similar beads in this gorgeous color in either a satin finish or high luster in my shop under glass beads so please have a look.
Some are West German and some are Japanese but all are in excellent condition!

These are very translucent amber colored glass beads from Japan that have delicate black spidery lines inside! I only have a handful left at this point in my studio.

At first I thought they were a square bead which technically they are but because of how the hole was placed, they are instead more of a bi cone or triangular bead!

I sold a number of these vintage Japanese amber glass beads through the Smithsonian Institution's museum shop and mail order catalog during the 1980's and they were also featured in trunk shows at Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue during this same time period.

You'll never see beads like this nowadays at your neighborhood "gem show" or local bead shop!
