Tiny Maple Neclace

Description

Enamel on copper. A tiny maple leaf shape in fall oranges and reds. The red is slightly over fired to give that blackened edge and wonderful speckling. The enamel is high fired for a glossy finish and the back is counter enameled for durability. Enameled pieces are created by sifting powdered glass in layers and firing the glass to 1500 degrees till it fuses for each color. This is glass on metal, and although not incredibly fragile, it does need to be handled with care like your other hand crafted jewelry! The copper edges are highly polished and a small piece of polish cloth is included to keep it's luster. Due to the nature of enameling, no two are alike, and some variations in pattern or sifting can be found. Appx. 1" in length. Comes strung on a gold cable cord with brass findings.
