Rooster Feather Hat Circa 1950s

Description

Colorful rooster feathers are attached to the crown of this skull cap hat, which is then covered with fancy black tulle and scattered with black faceted glass chatons. Down the center is a black velvet ribbon. The rim is black velvet with a red velvet piping peaking through above the forehead. The inside is just as elaborate - a mix of satin woven fabric and floral ribbon, with fancy labels, "Lemington" and "Maurice L. Rothchild" "Young-Quinlan Co." there are 2 small combs attached with elastic to keep this in hair.

Tagged a size 22. Measurements are: 8 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches across the crown top
19 inches inside edge circumference.

Condition is very good. No stains, dents, crushes, missing feathers or odors. The netting has a tear in the front.
