red poppy - hangs on 18 inch chain

Description

a beautiful red poppy printed in color, onto transparent archival paper.

this was then immersed in resin, allowed to cure, popped free from its mold, then sanded, buffed, polished, and finished off with a high gloss resin spray.

i wire wrap each piece.

every step of this process is completed by myself. on my own, no help. :)

the red poppy pendant measures about 1.50" at it's longest, and as i mentioned before, is transparent, so your skin will show through...looks cool, trust me. this is my current necklace of choice.


IMPORTANT:

notes on RESIN: Resin is a PLASTIC, not a glass, so keep in mind that if you wear your pendant every day, there is a good chance that it will get scratched up. It is also waterproof, but again, if you shower, bathe, and immerse yourself in water all of the time, it will become cloudy over time. A good way to keep your pendant or bangle looking shiny and new is to not wear it every day, and to clean it occasionally using a damp rag and windex.

though most pendants are completely clear, and bubble free, there are the occasional tiny bubbles. It's the nature of resin, and handmade, so please keep that in mind.
