Sea Horses- Monogamy-ORIGINAL ETCHING PRINT

Description

These two sea horses were meant to be. An interesting fact about sea horses is that they are completely monogamous- they have one life partner their whole life. They even often have a ritual dance that they perform for each other every day to maintain their bond.

This 3x4 inch etching contains the 2 sea horses- their coloring created with a hand made paper chine colle. The background has text about human monogamy that fades in and out of legibility.

This print is part of an edition of 30. Each printed on mint Bugra paper with peacock ink and a goldenrod hand made paper chine colle over the sea horses. Due to the nature of chine colle (the collage technique used to make the sea horses a goldenrod color), there may be slight differences from print to print.

It is a small print that would fit wonderfully in a mat with a 4x6 inch opening.
