I have been hanging onto this goooorgeous assortment of polka-dotted paper for ages because I knew it'd make great mirrors and magnets and I've finally had a chance to press some and offer them in my shop! This decadent, high-quality paper is thick and silky smooth and has a fun, kitschy, retro style that is just fabulous. It has a great texture and weight and, in line with the retroness of the design, the printing has been done in a light wash that has left some lovely spots of slightly lighter color distribution that blend in beautifully and expertly mix the old and the new. There are a few spots here and there where tiny spots of white show through as well (see purple magnet, second photo - there's a teensy white spot above one of the polka dots). I know this could easily sound like cheap, bad printing but this is really exquisite paper that I bought at one of those dreamy art supply stores that you have to drive forever to find and you know you're paying too much but it's all just so *pretty* so you leave with five bags. It also has those protective pieces of tissue paper separating each sheet and is packaged in sturdy plastic so I assure you, it's excellent quality paper and I am noting this variance just in case not disclosing it were to come off as cheap-o paper being sold as not-cheap-o paper. I spent forever debating even letting it go - it's just that great. I may be biased - I love polka dots. Anyway! the paper is protected from damage by a clear layer of mylar which adds shine and durability. (The only downside is you can't feel the heavenly paper because of the mylar so a listing for handcut circles is forthcoming!) Then, I assemble all the parts and my handy-dandy button maker and I turn it all into a snazzy mirror, yay!

IMPORTANT:
WHERE ARE THOSE MAGNETS FROM?? Several photos are of the magnet sets I also have available because they look the same from the front. The third photo features several of my own magnets assembled around the polka dot magnets. This listing is for one mirror and no magnets are included - they are just for decoration! The top right magnet with the typewriter is made by the so totally awesome Circa Ceramics studio based out of Chicago. DO I GET THE MAGNETS TOO? No. A few of the images feature magnets because I've also made these available as a magnet set and they look the same from the front so I am including these extra images to give you another look at the colors but the magnet set is NOT included! → SIZE: Mirrors measure 2.25" in diameter (5.7mm) with the design on the front and a mirror on the back. They're about 5mm or so thick - they fit in the tiniest of pockets and pouches and still have enough area so that you don't have to look at your face in microscopic sections - fun!

→ ADDITIONAL INFO: The mirrors are high-quality totally normal mirrors - it's not just a shiny piece of metal. They are also not the compact mirrors that flip open - one side is a mirror, one side is polka dot city. I have several different drawstring pouches that are the perfect size for these mirrors and give them extra protection against scratching. and look for the listing that says POCKET MIRROR ADD-ON in all caps. There are several different options - my favorites are the hot pink organza and the super-shiny silver Xanadu bag (it has no real associations to Xanadu but I call it that just the same!). There are also the more understated, elegant options of black or white satin. The bags ship free with purchase of mirror. This doesn't mean shipping is totally free, but you only pay the shipping cost on the mirror. Due to the way the combined shipping charge is set up on Etsy, you'll be charged an additional fee but I will refund it as soon as your order is processed (or sooner if I can!).
Mirrors ship in a plastic zip-top bag with a hang-tag stapled to the top that was designed by the same lovely lady who designed my banner, business cards and other promotional materials. Many people purchased them as last minute gifts last holiday season and thought they made great little tags for gift giving, which is awesome because I can't wrap anything to save my life. If you order a bag to store the mirror, it will be placed behind the mirror and packaged in the same bag.
→ COLOR: Please note that different colors can appear differently on various monitors. The green, pink and blue magnets are a fairly pale pastel and the purple and rust are darker but still not super-intense colors. I did my best to capture the colors without washing everything out so the color looks a little extra intense on some photos but that's just on my screen - yours may be different. Each of the pictures captures one or two colors really well but another might look a little off so just for the record: the pink is a very bubblegum, soft pink, the purple is kind of a "not dark enough to be royal purple" soft grape, the red has just enough of a chocolatey tint to qualify as a sort-of-rust (and makes a great match with the pale, Spring green for a more modern holiday pairing) and, as I already touched on, the pink, green and blue are all pretty safely in the pastel category. Please be aware that colors may be slightly different in person based on your monitor and your monitor settings and that I've done my very best to represent them accurately, both with pictures and this description!
