One of the best things about Christmas is the anticipation of the big day. In my house, we measure time in sleeps! How many sleeps until Santa comes!

This advent calendar is made from an 11X14 painters canvas, premium scrapbook paper and tin containers that hold 1 oz (28 M&M's) of candy. The containers are held onto the board with clear velcro buttons so that when you remove the tins each day...you can enjoy the decoration underneath.

The tins don't have to just hold candy. You can fill them with many different things...stickers, bible verses, quotes or activities to do as a family. It could even be fun to make a scavenger hunt with clues in each day's tin. The possibilities are endless.
