Butterflies are often recognised as symbols of change.

these delicate lifesize butterflies are handcut from 180gsm watercolour paper .
First they are CUT OUTS -shadows and slowly they emerge from the page to fly free and are raised off the page to get a truly 3d effect.
it is then raised 5mm (1/2 an inch )off a acid free matt so highten the shadow play.

their design means they can be framed with any side as top ,turn it around for a differrent perspective.
The photo is of a white on white mount , but you can opt for any backing colour you like just add in comments and i will email you colour swatches.chocolate,beige and antique green all work well

Each artwork is 250 x 250mm or 9 inches square and is NOT FRAMED but shipped shrinkwrap to preserve the moulded 3d wings.
