MEASUREMENTS: 2x2 inch wide square starched square habotai/habutae silk, 2x2 inch wide square recycled kimono silk
DETAILS: Wood spatula, fabric squares, silver and gold plated bead caps, pearl, pearly stamen, felt, japanese rice glue and tsumami kanzashi tutorial. there is enough material to make 2 flowers with green leaves on the side.
COLOR: Hot red and custard yellow and green
MATERIALS: recycled kimono silk, habotai silk, beadcaps

The chrysanthemum kanzashi are made of silk flowers. I used authentic Japanese silk fabric that is used to make kimono.
Beautiful fabrics with gorgeous bright colors have always been one of greatest my passion. When I came across "Tsumami Kanzashi" online I knew it was fate. This technique is used to make exquisite hair "jewelry" for the apprentice geisha, maiko. It took me a while to gather all traditional material to start working on the projects on my mind. Here they are, I hope you enjoy and love them as much as I do.
