Steampunk Amethyst Heart of the Watch Necklace

Description

The focal piece for this necklace is a part from an antique pocketwatch. It is where the spring is coiled, so this piece is essential in the operation of the watch, its heart, so to speak. It is wrapped in brass wire with faceted amethysts and brass beads, and fastens with a leaf toggle clasp. The necklace measures 19.5" in length.

No automata were harmed in the making of this jewelry, with the components coming from odd lots of mixed parts. This also falls into the category of "jewelry what bites," as the edges of the machinery bits are still in their original naturally roughened state.
