Nesting - Arachnid Filigree Necklace

Description

A good mother always guards her nest.

This little story piece is a mix of old and new; comprised of layered filigree upon a filigree flower, the vintage spider finding has been given vintage marcasite eyes and the segmented body has been completed with a prong set, faceted vintage glass stone. This little spider hovers over her nest (a vintage steel cut button with crystal rhinestone sets).

Center focal is approx. 1 1/2" inches wide x 1 3/4" inches high not including the crystal dangle. The chain and focal piece have been accented with bronze faceted Czech glass crystals and fire polished, antique pink Czech glass beads and suspends from double, soldered link vintage brass chain.

Necklace closes securely with a rhinestone set, filigree box clasp and measures just shy of 17” inches in length with focal and crystal dangle falling 3” inches below the chain.
