The black rose may symbolize tragic romance, or merely be a fitting addition to the decorum of those with a darker æsthetic, along with the black candles, black clothes, and so on. Thus, the black rose is incorporated both in the literary realm, as well as in the real world. White roses may be dyed black, but this rose needs no such coloring.
Built upon black lacquered wood this stick is topped with smooth jet glass and an orb or ruby red. Cresting the top of the stick is a black metal rose, and from it dangles a fine black chain with three bloody red glass briolettes dribbling down it.
The stick has an overall length of 6.5 inches, a usable length of 5.5 inches, and a dangle length of 2.25 inches.
