Charming Lantern Necklace - Vintage Charm on Sterling Silver

Description

This sweet, fun little lantern has been reclaimed from a pair of earrings that were purchased during a cruise around the Mediterranean in the very early 1950's. I believe it is silver over brass. It has some nice detailing and a little faded coral (or glass?) ball dangles in its center. The lantern hangs by a hand wrapped coral round on a hammered sterling silver open hoop reminiscent of the once popular charm-holders.

Accompanying the lantern you'll find an olive serpentine pear briolette hand wrapped in sterling silver along with a little hand carved shell bird fetish. All the silver has been oxidized and polished to continue the vintage look of the piece.

Measurements:

Lantern: about 1x1/2 inch
Briolette: 11x9mm
Fetish: 15mm
Charm holder: about 1 inch diameter
Over all length (drop) of charms w/ holder: about 2 1/2 inch
Over all chain length: about 17 1/2 inches (can be shortened to your desired length).
