Corned Beef Hash - Camera Lens Bracelet

Description

The name of this food has always made me want to vomit a little bit. It just sounds like fried chartreuse baby caca. I've never tried it, and despite my open culinary mind, I doubt I ever will. Call me a fool, but that's just how it is.

Well this bracelet has absolutely nothing to do with that or my stomach acids, so that's a relief. In fact, I highly doubt that this beautiful piece of jewelry would want to make anyone bow down before the porcelain throne. Which makes me wonder why I named it Corned Beef Hash in the first place, but then, you can't question an artistic genius. Wait. Did my ego just escape through my fingers again? Bad ego.

Anyway, Corned Beef Hash (the good kind), is sourced from an old Albinar ADG 80-200mm f3.9 (M42 mount). Made in Korea, it was more economical option to the more expensive brands. This piece came from the mid-section of the lens body, and was used as a guide to line up the focal distance of the zoom (white) and macro (green) functions. The red R and curved line helped indicate the subject's range from the camera, the denominations of which can be found on this bracelet's companion, Gripped For Your Pleasure (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=34483529).

With three colors, two little holes, brushed aluminum edges and a sleek semi-gloss black finish, its vintage charm is only compounded by hints of wear and some fading in the lettering.

***GIFT IDEA: Since this bracelet is part of a pair, why not buy them both for a photographer duo? How cool would you be in their eyes if they had complimentary bracelets?!


Approximate measurements: 2-1/2" L x 2-1/8" H x 1-3/8" W with an interior circumference of 7-1/4" and a 1" wrist opening. This would fit an average to larger woman's wrist or a smaller man's wrist.
