Sterling and brass Moss Rose ring

Description

The moss rose is known as the "time flower" - it has a specific time to bloom. This little ring reminds me of the moss rose, or portulaca, one of my favorite happy little blooms. I made it for myself on a day when I needed to remind myself that I am loved and this is my time to blossom and be happy.

The petals are made from brass sheet metal that I cut, formed, and oxidized, and the center of the rose is a granule of silver I melted and soldered in place. The band of the ring is also from sterling silver, and the entire ring is oxidized and lightly polished to bring out the beautiful dimensional qualities of the flower.

There's just something about oxidized brass that I have grown to love. I think you will love it too.

I will make each ring to order with you in mind. Each moss rose flower will be unique but very similar to the one in the picture: about 1/4" in diameter. For your own benefit, be sure of your ring size when ordering and let me know in the "note to seller" at checkout.
