Modern Porcelain Vase
Description
This vase was thrown on the potter's wheel. The entire outside surface was painted with a black slip and carved so the white porcelain beneath it is shown. This process is called scraffito. It was put in the kiln once, and then glazed with a glossy green (slightly teal) glaze on the inside and a clear glaze on the outside, and then fired once more. (I make all my own porcelain and glazes) This vase has a great Mid-Century look to it.It measures 7 inches tall and is about 3 inches at its widest, the opening is 2 inches wide
