Mod Serving Bowl red black white

Description

This was thrown on the potter's wheel. The entire outside surface was painted with a black slip (liquefied clay) and carved so the white porcelain beneath it is shown. This process is called scraffito. It was put in the kiln once, and then glazed with a Red glaze (orange peel texture) on the inside and a clear glaze on the outside, and then fired once more. (I make all my own porcelain and glazes) This ultra mod bowl is super wonderful to the touch, has a great shape and striking color. Nice serving bowl. Good serving size for mashed potatoes, fruit salad…and everything looks fabulous in it!

It measures 3 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide.
