Victorian Nosegay Quilt

Description

Subtle Victorian colors featuring rose, sage and ecru, combine to create this striking ooak, 100% cotton quilt using the Nosegay quilt block.

Each of the flowers was cut using the Stack and Whack method, so all are quite different and individual looking. It is an intricate block, set on point, and made even more spectacular for having been professionally long-arm machine quilted using free motion stippling as well as freehand pattern quilting.

The solid tea dyed muslin back shows off the beautiful quilting pattern, and makes the quilt reversible if you so choose. The deep wine diamond surrounding the nosegays is a folded flap and is only attached in the main seam. The battiing is 100% cotton also.

The quilt measures 40"W X 58"L (101.6 x 147.3cm), and has a label sewn to the back with its title, and my signature and date of completion.
